configuration tips for Samsung phones

Quickim runs up fine on my Samsung E720 but it cannot connect to MSN with the error:
Dispatch server error:
Address=messenger.hotmail.com , port=-1
Details: Create socket:
Network Down

Any ideas???

this probably means you don't have the GPRS connection for full internet access. You need to have a full internet access data subscription with your mobile operator.

i dont know wheather this works on my phone i dont want to try just ankase i brake my phone please find out weather it works

you will not break the phone by trying out Java applications. Java applications, as opposed to desktop applications, have very limited access to the system. So you can remove the software whenever you want after the trial without harming the stability of your phone

Hello can someone help me,

I have the quickIM Jad and jar file but cannot install them on my samsung E900. Can someone help me how to do this please??

I tried installing it like a game IE, uploaded via USB to the 'Other files' folder, and stalling the MIDlet. But I cannot find the jad or jar files to install....

What Im I doing wrong??

Ive managed to put the file jad and jar to the 'other files' folder

When asked it to install it says "Java Error Invalid Format"

Can someone help me please.

OK I managed to install the Java QuickIM app.

But when I try to connect I get this message

Error while connecting. ERR: errlog01:login failed, in correct account

Can someone help me, I have no idea what it means.

OK Ive managed to get it connected.

Anyways can someone tell me how much it cost to use quickIM please.

Im on Vodafone Pay as you go, UK.

EDIT:

OK now when I connect its disconnecting me. What is going on why cant I connect now but I was able to before. I havent changed anything.

It begins to connect me when it says geting contact listen it it says you are disconnected from the server? Bare in mind I have the free trail version but still have 29messages left.

What is going on?
