This tip has been reported by many users and software vendors. On BlackBerry, sometime QuickIM won't be able to make any network connections anymore (quitting the application and restarting it won't help). This is because of some OS level bug that makes one network problem persist even if you leave the application.

The solution that works very often is to remove the phone's battery and put it back in. In many cases, this solves the connection problem.

Also make sure you are running QuickIM 2.0
